The Actors' Union of Madrid offers free legal services to its members through its Legal Department which specialises in Artists' Labour Law.  This service not only cares for our members individually but also collectively on issues related to social security and national insurance. Labour reports have been elaborated by our legal department. It has fully participated in negotiations for collective bargaining while constantly taking care of individual problems of actors and actresses as well as theatre groups or companies' demands. In fact, the more wide-reaching the efforts put into defending collective rights, the greater the activity generated in relation to individual cases (unemployment, dismissals, retirement, payments, etc.)

Recently legal coverage has been extended for specific problems related to actors and actresses working in dubbing studios.

We have also widened the coverage of our services to civil and criminal legal issues notwithstanding that an essential task for us is regulating the actors' professional trade situation in the Social Security System.

Legal Department Hours:

Mondays and Wednesdays: 3:30 pm, to 6:30 pm.

Fridays: 11 am to 2 pm.
